Welcome to Mendeltna Creek Lodge.
Built in the late 30's the character of the rough logs, it's hand built construction reflect a history of many long winters twisted by extrem cold and moving premafrost and short summers in a rush to get the work done. The interior is warm and cozy to welcome travelers, and those needing a resting place after a day fly fishing the creek, biking, or in winter skiing the 50 miles of dog friendly trails.
The stone river rocks and sitting room of the fireplace nook have heard many stories told.
Home made food is served daily from 8am-9pm. In summer our high tunnel is the source of fresh organic vegetables.
Recycling, reducing, and reusing are a constant theme. Please use the bins provided, or ask where conpost bin is. Our goal is zero waste at this point it is 80% of all reduction in waste.
We are a non smoking lodge. Please use cans provided for buts.
We have RV camping in our wooded spacious campground with Water sewer and electric. Tent sights are along the creek with water front veiws.
The summer hostel is a bargan at $20.00 a night.
